I had a rather nice surprise on Wednesday morning when the above card arrived from the
Garden Fairie. She wishes us well for Malvern (shame you can't be here) and says hello to everyone, especially Gail and Frances who are flying the flag for Team USA.
Her kind thought is an ideal opportunity to send greetings to all the garden bloggers out there who can't join us at Malvern and to hope there's another time when we can meet for real rather than virtually :)
Shirls has also been in touch and wishes us well over at
her blog. She also has a special request for all Malvern Meeters: she has a tulip festival on at the moment until 14th May and would love to see any photos of the tulips we encounter at the show. Last year the tulip displays were spectacular, so let's go and find them!
The picture is not of a tulip, but of an
Erythronium americanum aka yellow dog-tooth violet aka toad lily.

What a kind thought. And tulips are one of my favourite spring flowers - I am sure there are displays in the floral marquee. I'm covering that area tomorrow (Saturday)
Thank you! I also send my good wishes for you all. (I'm a Northern, so I don't say "y'all.") The Real Reason I Didn't Go To Malvern
Thanks for the mention VP. I've been searching around and have found a few back posts with tulips already. It would be fantastic to see some new ones though... especially from Malvern :-D
Hope you are all having a great time :-D
Hiya all,
Hope you are having fun and staying dry. Didn't realize this was going on. Was there too for a couple of hours and may unknowingly have elbowed some of you out of the way. Sorry :-)
My post is up, but you will all be too busy writing your own I'm sure.
