For some bizarre reason people looked at me strangely when I said I was hosting a party for 20ish garden bloggers during the Malvern Spring Show. I never really understood why since to me having a group of friends around for the evening was never an issue. My complete faith in my garden blogging buddies was not misplaced - we had a fab evening, full of laughter, hugs, food and drink. For some reason there is a rumour out there in the blogasphere that garden bloggers are dull (as well as illiterate) - far from it and I think you can see that from the smiley faces above.
I am looking forward to the next time my garden bloggy friends decide to descend on me.

Oh dear, of dearie me, what a frightfully dull bunch. ;-)
Fun was had by all, lots of fun. Not to mention cake. And crisps and loads of other health food.
Can we have another party chez Helen next week?
XX Yolanda
So am I ..
Helen, Thank you for hosting a fun evening and opening your house and garden to us.
Please can we do it again next year?
xx
Who was taking the picture?
Looks like you all had a wonderful time. Gardeners of the world unite - no grumps need apply. PS My word verification for this comment is, appropriately, ravers...
Happy to oblige next year. Easygardener's husband and Artists Garden's sister in law Dobie were taking the pics
Helen, thanks again for hosting us :) cake was delicious and we had so much fun! this experience was amazing for me :)
Thank you Helen...It was so much fun and I never encountered a dull blogger the entire time! gail
No such thing as a dull 'un! It was a great idea - well done you xx
Definitely not dull ;)
Thanks so much for hosting the party Helen :)
If only I'd thought of taking group photos on the other days. Sigh.
It was anything but dull, Helen, and you were brave to play hostess to a bunch of folks you didn't know. Loved your cakes! Thanks for the memories, they will be treasured always. :-)
xo,
Frances
I've been peering into the picture, matching faces to names.
Thanks everyone for allowing us to have this glimpse of you. I enjoy your blogs regardless of what you look like but it's fascinating all the same. It sort of proves you are real. And what's so surprising is that despite similarities (you all have heads and smiles and things) your blogs are so very different from each other. This is especially impressive given that, in theory, they all have the same subject matter.
Really glad you had a good time.
Esther
Esther - what a lovely thing to say. Wish you could have been there too, but at least you know us a bit better now through this? :)
A lovely photo, Helen ... I can only imagine what a great time you gals had :) It's been fun catching up on all the blogs. Thanks for sharing ...
A wonderful evening. Thanks again Helen for opening your doors to non-bloggers too.
It was a lovely evening - and many thanks to Helen who was very brave to volunteer as host. Nice to put faces to names.
Denise
Looks like fun! You were most sweet to host a party for all!
P.S. Tried to go to your regular blog but it said the page does not exist? Did the url change?
Joey - so glad you enjoyed seeing what we got up to :)
Dobby - it would have felt really strange if you hadn't been there. So glad you could come.
EG - Good to see you!
Tina - welcome! Helen ensured it was a fun relaxed evening. Which blog were you having problems with - mine or Helen's? Is there still a problem?
